Substance Abuse is growing among our adolescents. Peer pressure is stronger than ever. Drugs are easily acceptable and are coming from places like the medicine cabinet at home, the grocery store and the school yard.
Teens are becoming risky and using a variety of substances. Signs of use can include emotional outbursts of anger, depression, change in attire, Internet relationships begin and shift in friends can occur. The consequence of loosing family and good friends seem to fly out the window. Aspirations for the future begin to change or to go away, and parents are left asking ... what is happening.
Center for Discovery address each concern and each drug. Adolescents rarely hit a bottom with their behavior, however it does happen. Many times a parent is the first to hit a bottom with their teen’s behavior and at that point reaches out for help.
Center for Discovery works with both teens and families to fight substance abuse. In addition we address the psychological, and behavioral issues that accompany substance abuse. Today teens with a substance abuse problem can be an “A” student playing sports or an “D” student with truancy problems. It does not matter how they got started, it matters how they can stop. Many times adults mistake the serious nature of cravings and true dependence on a mind-changing chemical as a “phase”.
Addiction is not a “phase”, if you are looking for help for your loved one. You have found the right place.
Center for Discovery will help you and your teen get the right help they need... Today.
